Tayto Theme Park in Ashbourne Co. Meath is a modern and well run activity park with an excellent programme of activities for all ages and is an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Tayto have turned 55 acres of Meath farmland into an fun filled park which is one of the first of its kind in Ireland with over 100 attractions including Europe's Largest Wooden Roller Coaster - The Cú Chulainn Coaster. Other attractions at Tayto Park include zoo animals with tigers, monkeys, birds of prey and reptiles to mention a few. There are also activities such as their zip line, climbing wall, sky walk and 5D cinema.

Fairyhouse Racecourse - Home of the Irish Grand National - is just a 10 minute drive from Archerstown Lodge B&B. It's the home of the Irish Grand National and hosts many horse racing events throughout the year. They also hold a Sunday Market there every weekend and other events include Rockathon Music Festival.

Newgrange World Heritage Site is a 5,200 year old passage tomb located in the Boyne Valley in Ireland's Ancient East. It was constructed about 5,200 years ago (3,200 B.C.) which makes it older than Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids of Giza. The mound is ringed by 97 large kerbstones, some of which are engraved with symbols called megalithic art.
Other historic attractions in the region include the site of the infamous Battle of the Boyne. You can look out from the Hill of Tara, sharing the view with the ancient High Kings of Ireland, or be mesmerised by the detail of the Celtic Crosses at Kells.
